CHICAGO, IL — Homemade holiday cookies and pet treats will be sold by the pound on Saturday, December 14 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, December 15 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm (or we run out), at the parish hall of Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral, 1121 N. Leavitt Street in Chicago.
The annual Cookie Walk supports the Cathedral’s continuing restoration work. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for the parish’s collection benefitting the Lakeview Food Pantry. A limited supply of gluten free baked goods will be available for sale as well.
Parishioners are asked to donate 3 or more dozen homemade cookies. Please see either Larisa Fetterly or Kelly Lardin with questions. Cookie donations will be accepted on Friday, December 13 between 9:30am-2pm.
Holy Trinity Cathedral, a City of Chicago Landmark located in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village neighborhood, will be open to the public for tours on Saturday, December 14 from 9:30am to 4 pm. The Cathedral was built in 1903, and is the last remaining church designed by renowned architect, Louis H. Sullivan.
